Southport is the Gold Coast's CBD.

Established in 1875 on the banks of the Nerang River, Southport overlooks the Broadwater and South Stradbroke Island.

The average daily maximum temperature is 25 degrees celcius while the year round average minimum is 15.

Southport, like the rest of the Gold Coast, enjoys around 112 days of sunshine a year. But even on the hottest day, a cool breeze off the Broadwater is not far away.
